The Population Health Ph.D Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison

 Overview 

Creating and evaluating methodologies to improve quality of care and patient safety within our health care system has become a national priority.  University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Engineering work with nationally-recognized centers in the assessment of health care systems and  measurement of their impact on patient safety and quality of care.  The Ph.D. in Population Health offered by the University of Wisconsin-Madison offers multidisciplinary methodological training in the population health sciences and a concentration in quality of care and patient safety through a Certificate in Patient Safety offered in coordination with the Department of Industrial Engineering.
