The Population Health Ph.D Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison

 Overview 

Evaluating health and health care interventions for their costs and benefits is a critically important activity in the public and private sectors.  University of Wisconsin faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Engineering are leaders in both the methodology and application of outcomes research and technology assessment.  Students interested in pursuing doctoral-level studies in the area of outcomes research and technology assessment  will find that the Ph.D. in Population Health offered by the University of Wisconsin-Madison can offer solid grounding in outcomes and technology assessment via elective area coursework and concentrated dissertation research, as well as general multidisciplinary training in the population health sciences via core coursework.
