The
Elliot Dick Fellowship Award 
In
honor of Elliot Dick, each year the Graduate Program in Population
Health is pleased to award a fellowship to
a highly promising student in epidemiology. Dr. Elliot Dick, a
distinguished faculty
member of the Department of Population Health
Sciences (formerly Preventive Medicine) had a clear commitment
to academic rigor and excellence throughout his illustrious career.
Funds for this award are derived from an endowment presented to
Dr. Dick by the Kimberly Clark Corporation
for Dr. Dick’s instrumental work in the development of virucidal
Kleenex.
The fellowship is awarded to an entering MS/PhD student
for a maximum of one year. Renewal is not possible. The fellowship
is designed to provide full tuition and financial support (subject
to available funds) equivalent to at least a 33.3% project
assistantship.
In order to be eligible for the award, applicants
should submit their full application for admission by January
15th for the following academic year.
The award will be made by the Graduate Student Awards Committee.
This committee is comprised of the Chair of the Department, the
Director of the Graduate Program and the Chair of the Recruitment
and Admissions Committee. This committee structure is subject to
change.
