The Elliot Dick Fellowship Award

In honor of Elliot Dick, each year the Graduate Program in Population Health is pleased to award a fellowship to a highly promising student in epidemiology. Dr. Elliot Dick, a distinguished faculty member of the Department of Population Health Sciences (formerly Preventive Medicine) had a clear commitment to academic rigor and excellence throughout his illustrious career. Funds for this award are derived from an endowment presented to Dr. Dick by the Kimberly Clark Corporation for Dr. Dick’s instrumental work in the development of virucidal Kleenex.

The fellowship is awarded to an entering MS/PhD student for a maximum of one year. Renewal is not possible. The fellowship is designed to provide full tuition and financial support (subject to available funds) equivalent to at least a 33.3% project assistantship.

In order to be eligible for the award, applicants should submit their full application for admission by January 15th for the following academic year.

The award will be made by the Graduate Student Awards Committee. This committee is comprised of the Chair of the Department, the Director of the Graduate Program and the Chair of the Recruitment and Admissions Committee. This committee structure is subject to change.
