Christine Arcari completed an MPH from the University of South Florida College of Public Health in 1993 then received her Ph.D. at John's Hopkins University in 2002. She specializes in infectious disease epidemiology, and her research interests include hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases, and the intersection of infectious and chronic diseases. Her current research focuses on the identification and treatment of hepatitis in incarcerated populations, screening of chlamydia and gonorrhea in male recruits in the United States Military, and the association between Chlamydia pneumoniae and cytomegalovirus and coronary heart disease.
