Peggy Ore, MS, RN
Senior Outreach Specialist

Peggy Ore is a Senior Outreach Specialist with the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, coordinating and providing instruction for the Healthy Wisconsin Leadership Institute, a group of continuing education programs operated in partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Illinois at Chicago and holds a Master of Science degree in community health nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Prior to joining the UWPHI, Ms. Ore had over thirty years of experience in management and staff level positions in many segments of the public health system and worked in academic, governmental, private non-profit, and advocacy settings. She has provided direct services to communities, administered programs and entire agencies, served as a consultant, educated community health staff and future health professionals, and contributed to local, state, and federal policy development and implementation. Ms. Ore joined the Year 16 Wisconsin team to the Mid-America Regional Public Health Leadership Institute and serves in various leadership positions within the Wisconsin Public Health Association.

Ms. Ore's primary areas of interest are access to health care, community health improvement, and public health workforce development.
