Robin Lecoanet, JD
Associate Researcher
Robin Lecoanet is an Associate Researcher with the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.
She is currently the evaluation director of the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentives Grant
and the Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral, and Treatment grant. In that capacity, she works with
federal, state, and local partners to develop program priorities and strategies and evaluation criteria
and methodologies. She is responsible for conducting process evaluations to assist with program development
and improvement, as well as outcome evaluations to investigate the effectiveness of substance abuse prevention
and treatment programs.
Ms. Lecoanet spent over 23 years at the Wisconsin Legislative Audit Bureau where she served as internal
legal counsel, conducted legal training, and supervised teams of program evaluators while conducting program
evaluations of a wide variety of state programs. She completed her undergraduate work at Brooklyn College,
City University of New York, studied at the Universite de Nancy II in France, and received her J.D. from
Brooklyn Law School. She is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar.
