Angela Kempf Rohan, MA
PhD Candidate
Angela Kempf Rohan is a PhD Candidate in Population Health and a Research Assistant for the
University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. She received her undergraduate degree
from Marquette University in Anthropology and German, and in May of 2004 completed her Masters
degree at the University of Kansas in Biological Anthropology. While at the University of Kansas
she was an intern at the Kansas Health Institute, served as a graduate teaching assistant in
cultural anthropology, and was Project Coordinator for the Monitoring University Students and
Tackling Diabetes and Obesity (MUST DO) project. Angela is currently working on the Making
Wisconsin the Healthiest State Project and assists with the Wisconsin County Health Rankings.
Her dissertation research focuses on public perceptions of health disparities and disparities policy.
