Christina is currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and is completing her Master’s in Cellular and Molecular Biology. She is interested in zoonotic and communicable diseases; epidemiology; and environmental health. As a Wisconsin Area Health Education Centers-sponsored Community Health Intern, Christina developed a strong interest in health-based research. She gained both a working knowledge of local health department’s goals and an appreciation for the dynamic nature of the public health field. She plans to complete her MPH degree with a focus on epidemiology and later serve the public as either a state or research epidemiologist.
