Participation
Who is eligible to participate?
Adult children of participants in the Beaver Dam Eye Study and Epidemiology of Hearing LossStudy may participate in the Beaver Dam Offspring Study.
Testing your:
hearing
vision
smell
taste
Assessing your cardiovascular health by:
blood pressure measures
carotid artery ultrasound scan
Collecting blood samples for:
cholesterol
diabetes
genetic studies
The examination takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete.
About six to eight weeks after your examination, you will receive a written report with your study results. We will personally make you aware of any clinically significant findings from the evaluations.
